I’m Tatum Katz, a Research Data Scientist with the USDA Agricultural Research Service Meat Safety and Quality Research Unit.

I use disease ecology and data science to help meat industry producers reduce Salmonella on their products to ensure a healthier public. I work with a diverse team of microbiologists, animal scientists, ecologists, and many others to identify holistic solutions to achieve this goal.
